Focus on Nutrition

Here at SECC, we focus on healthy and nutritious food. Our menu is planned by our Food Service Coordinator and made from scratch in our commercial-grade kitchen.

We participate in the USDA federal food program, and the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP), which provides menu oversight and funding. Meals are served family-style in the classrooms. Children are involved in cooking projects and some vegetable growing.

*Due to current COVID restrictions, family style serving is suspended. The staff prepares each child’s plate using gloves.*
